The Apostles are a nation based in West Oregon.
Historical background
A dissenting sect of outcasts exiled from the Mirelurk Tribe, The Apostles follow the belief that the Ruddy Man was not a god, but rather a man whose actions deserve reverence, similar to saints of the Catholic faith. Around 2270, The Apostles engaged in a war with the Bonepicker tribe, becoming weary of the conflict after it ended shortly before 2275.

The Apostles believe in the idea that the Ruddy Man - the ancient hero who taught the deadwood destitute how to survive in the wasteland was not a god in and of himself but rather that his actions make him worth reverence, akin to a saint in the Catholic faith.
These ideals are seen as heretical by the Coral Court of the Mirelurk Tribe who feel that the Ruddy Man was a god outright and that his lineage should be worshipped as gods.

The Apostles of the Ruddy Man, after they were exiled from the Mirelurk Tribe to the north had to fight a five year long war to push through the Camas Valley and into Diamond Peak. Many of the tribe are still weary of war from this long and drown out conflict.

- Originally, the nation in The Apostles place were a nation known as the Bonepickers. However, in lore terms, the narrative of both nations was written so that, rather than the Bonepickers being present in 2275, The Apostles had wiped the tribe out shortly before.[1]
