The 215th are a former New Canaan prisoner chain gang, having escaped and become a raider gang in the West Coast region.

Historical background

When the Farfield Rebellion was put down by the soldiers of New Canaan they couldn’t simply execute the survivors - they had to repent. As such, the 215th chain gang were sentenced to work in the city of Jericho in the hopes of atoning for their sins. That is, until Thunderbird and the 80s ransacked the city, smashing through the salvaged and ruined city that the 215th had labored so long to build up. The 215th were free, yet they needed a place to go.

Now Marianne, a former thief turned indentured servant turned gang leader, has brought them west in search of both a shelter away from their former masters and the fabled treasure of the valley.

It was a miserable existence and Marianne was more than happy to put an end to it, and her master, when the 80s raid on Jericho provided the opportunity. Latching onto the 215th chain gang in their revolt and escape, she quickly maneuvered her way to the top of their pecking order. Marianne is a savvy woman, skilled at manipulating and ingratiated herself to the rough and violent folks beneath her. As a result the Overboss is quite popular within her gang, and they've followed her lead with only a token amount of infighting and dissent along the way. This goes both ways, and Marianne is fairly fond of her rowdy boys and girls and their penchant for explosions. Bigger and better things await the 215th and the Overboss, at least if you ask her. The 215th starts with five divisions, four being Marianne’s Boys, the last one is a Hellriders

the starting templates are:

  • Militia Force (4 Militia battalions)
  • Marianne’s Boys (7 Infantry battalions, 1 Anti-tank and 1 Demolition support group
  • Hellriders (7 Motorized Infantry battalions)

Conscription Law

It is in the nature of raiders to band together into rapidly moving groups to easier ambush caravans and avoid the would be pursuers, it is also in their nature to fight in between themselves for the position of the leader. As such with the increasing size of the group it becomes harder and harder to keep the raiders focused and united.

  3. To whomever worked on the 215th, how come you guys changed their lore from what it originally was in VB, that being contractors from the NCR who went raider after the govenor of the dam didn't pay them

    The 215th in OWB are a bit of a mix of the original 215th concept, as well as the Jericho design document."
