- Scenarios country selection screen quote
A coalition of arms barons and factories in the northern Rio Grande who never fully assimilated into the Republic. Motivated by dreams of liberty and greed, they sell weapons to anyone, and have continued to destabilize the Republic of The Rio Grande's politics since its inception. By 2275, the association may enact a bid for independence, or be consumed by some of its neighbors, who see it as little more than prey,[1] such as the Ironmongers, who have taken over TAA factories, regularly plundering the nation.[2]

Behind the scenes
- The focus tree for the Texan Arms Association was created by Shudderfly.[3]
- Shudderfly was inspired to write the crisis events following an unnamed male secretary and Todd Howitzer through the style of events and perspectives in the Hearts of Iron IV mod "The New Order: Last Days of Europe", wishing to write a lighthearted story as opposed to The New Order's "dourness".[4]
- The leader of the Texan Arms Association is a parody of Todd Howard, the executive producer and game director at Bethesda Softworks, who have developed the Fallout series since Fallout 3.
- Various elements of the Texas Arms Association focus tree and quotes are taken from statements or phrases by Todd Howard, such as the country's historical background utilizing his most well-known quote, "It just works."

Unlike many other mutants, they construct massive vehicles of brutal machinery, backed up by giant guns and the strength of iron. They’re feared by many, and their iconic “Battlewagons” bring terror and destruction in their wake."

- Obtained from Discord, 3/19/2021 - ↑ Shudderfly: "I was inspired to write the short "crisis' event chain in TAA by TNO's style of events, which has a lot of short stories told from an individual perspective. I think it's a fun little way to expose the player to a country or leader's general vibe. I didn't really want it to be miserable or have that same dourness that TNO tends to have, so I wrote it to be a lighthearted story about a beleaguered secretary. The character is canonically male."
