New Vegas is a city rebuilt amidst the remains of pre-War Las Vegas, Nevada. The city's main attraction, the New Vegas Strip, is managed by Robert House, who utilizes his army of Securitron robots to maintain peace and order in the post-War city in the heart of the vast Mojave Desert.

Historical background

Mr. House founded RobCo before the Great War, and used his wealth to build a machine to sustain his body indefinitely. Awakening late into the new age Mr. House took control over New Vegas, raising the tribes in his casinos up and giving them the gift of civilisation.

Mr. House desires to reclaim the platinum chip to activate his Securitrons within the Vault and upgrade their software. Vegas is filled with snakes, and befittingly it has many people who desire to topple the lofty throne of the Lucky 38. Benny, and the King are the main contenders for the top, each with their own motivations.

Behind the scenes

  • New Vegas is based on the city of the same name, which is featured prominently in Fallout: New Vegas.
  • New Vegas was designed by AntClarke.[1]
    • During 3.0, Zusk made a partial rework to the nation, working on rebalancing the nation and changing its focus tree branches, while still leaving the respective trees able to be recognized.[2]

Zusk: "Troll Warren and Lanius's Cohort had most of their focus trees entirely replaced in those respective updates in order to be polished and refined. While the New Vegas and Brotherhood reworks were mostly just some rebalancing and changes to one or two focus tree branches, while leaving most of the respective trees recognizable."
