Washington Brotherhood
The Washington Brotherhood are a Brotherhood of Steel chapter based in the state of Washington.
Historical background
Elder Immortal lead his few followers to Seattle hoping to found a new chapter - but his violent tactics and the dire situation turned the chapter into a monster. Violence, enslavement, and conscription have all become core tenants of a dark 'Neo Brotherhood' doctrine. The thick snowfall of Seattle is the perfect backdrop for abductions, murder, and the subjugation of the few who remain.
- Scenarios country selection screen quote
Considered the "single most violent totalitarian BoS faction" in the wasteland,[1] the Washington Brotherhood are originally from the Midwestern Brotherhood, and have since become a militant power, enslaving raiders and wastelanders to fight for them, due to their lack of Power Armored soldiers. Alongside this, the Brotherhood utilize a standing army of Super Mutants and robots that journeyed to Washington from the Midwest, and recruit ghouls to fight alongside them.[2]

Gameplay
Military
The Washington Brotherhood begins with sixteen divisions, three Power Armor Companies made up of the cruel veterans of the Seattle Expedition, five Conscript Brigades composing a pressganged militia, and eight Raider Warbands aptly named for bands of vicious raiders in the service of the Immortal.
Conscription Law
It is in the nature of raiders to band together into rapidly moving groups to easier ambush caravans and avoid the would be pursuers, it is also in their nature to fight in between themselves for the position of the leader. As such with the increasing size of the group it becomes harder and harder to keep the raiders focused and united. Requirements

Behind the scenes
- The Washington Brotherhood are directly inspired by the Alaskan Brotherhood from the cancelled Fallout game, Fallout Extreme, with homebrew lore created for them.[3]
- Though the Washington Brotherhood uses the 'Raider Nation' manpower law set, they begin with 'Four Year Conscription' from the 'Wasteland Recruitment' set.
- Although the Washington Brotherhood were originally only Brotherhood in-name-only, they were shifted to be more in-line with the Codex, albeit in a twisted manner, in 4.0 in order to interact with and accept volunteers from the Lost Hills Brotherhood.[4]
- The Immortal's art piece, drawn by Herckeim, had his armor inspired from a Power Armor that appeared in concept art that was to appear in Fallout: Extreme.[5]

- ↑ Loonybinjin: "Washington State is Host to the Washington Brotherhood of Steel, the single most violent totalitarian BoS faction written into the lore. They are all about building their army, enslaving locals, ext. They consider themselves men and women of action, bu they are mostly assholes. A breakaway faction from the Midwest. They bring Ghouls, Robots, and Supermutants with them, and they are going to be facing my Pride and Joy, the Supermutants of Troll Warren, who are based out of Cannibal Oregon."

They recruit ghouls often, they have a standing army of super mutants that left the midwest with them, and they even enslave raiders and use them as conscripts.
However they have very little in the way of power armoured troops, true brotherhood type guys
Their strength lies in their weaker units"

With a lot of homebrew in their lore"

Brotherhood in name only
he still kind of operates within the Codex, in his own fucked up way - hence the quote) was so that he could accept volunteers and interaction from lost hills."

is that its the first actual really well done art piece done for the Fallout Extreme power armor Heres the original concept art from fallout extreme it was inspired by!
[1]
Really glad we got this Abe's Odyssey looking armor into the mod."

When I was exporting it, I saved it in the wrong format, and it came out blue
I liked it so much I just left it that way"

I'd already planned to make heavy use of snowstorms and stuff to add to the mystery of the Washington Brotherhood, but the accidental tint on The Immortal's portrait made me go all in on it"
